Blantyre District Health Office together with MaiKhanda Trust organized Blantyre Early HIV Treatment Initiative (BETHI) second Collaborative Learning session on 27 June 2018 at Hotel Victoria. BETHI was a quality improvement(QI) Collaborative designed to achieve the following;
This project was being implemented in 29 health facilities in Blantyre namely; Bangwe H/C, Blantyre Adventist Hospital, Blantyre City Asssembly Clinic, Chavala H/C, Chichiri Prison Clinic, Chikowa H/C, Chileka H/C, Chilomoni H/C, Chimembe H/C, Chirimba H/C, Dziwe H/C, Kadidi H/C, Limbe H/C, Lirangwe H/C, Lundu H/C, Macro Blantyre, Madziabango H/C, Makata H/C Lunzu, Makhetha Clinic, MASM Medi Clinic Limbe, Mdeka H/C, Mlambe mission Hospital, Mpemba H/C, Mtengoumodzi Pvt hospital, Ndirande H/C, Queen Elizabeth Central hospital, South Lunzu Health Centre and Zingwangwa H/C.
Maikhanda Trust was implementing the BETHI project in partnership with Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Lighthouse Trust Blantyre District Health Office with funds from HEALTHQUAL-UCSF.
The learning session had drawn about 120 participants including HEALTHQUAL QI Technical Advisors, HIV Unit representatives, EGPAF, Lighthouse representatives and BT DHO staff.
MaiKhanda Trust is a Malawian non-governmental and nonprofit organization established and registered under Trustees Incorporation Act in 2006. MaiKhanda works with the Ministry of Health and all partners and stakeholders in Maternal and Neonatal Health service delivery.
